Sizing, Setup and Fitting Guidelines

Sizing & Fitting

The OZZIDOG Control Leash consists of a main leash and a control leash that runs inside it. The control leash handle  slides up and down the main leash. The control leash transforms any dog collar into a "control or communication harness". It  works on all dogs > 35 pounds and some strong pulling dogs that weigh >25 pounds. The OZZIDOG Control Leash is sized so that the Control Leash Handle is close to your hip when your dog is beside you. It comes in 4 different sizes.  Sizing is based on the shoulder height of your dog relative to you. For couples we recomend sizing it for the taller person.

The clear, gentle messaging and versatility make it ideal for puppies, but it is important to introduce and use it differently on puppies than adult dogs.       See Video Series

3 Attachment Points

  1. The Main Leash  Snap Lock
  2. The Control Leash Adjustable Chest Strap Quick Release
  3.  The Control Leash Non - adjustable Collar Strap Quick Release .  Note : The male end has to be disconnected  and slid onto the collar before it can be attached.

Adjustable Chest Strap

The command leash chest strap consists of cord, elastic and webbing. To set the webbing length first pull the cord so the control leash handle is all the way down the regular leash and all the cord is exposed. Then pull the webbing through the Adjustable buckle until the elastic stretches slightly. The elastic allows the handle to automatically recoil once released and deactivate the command leash.   Excess webbing is threaded through the tri- glide  which should be moved close to the elastic and then excess webbing can be trimmed.

Adjustable Collar Strap

The adjustable collar strap connects the chest strap to the collar at the base of the neck.  The male buckle has to be  threaded under the collar before being attached to the other buckle.  The length of the collar strap can be adjusted by using the tri-glide. Some webbing may need to be trimmed in some cases. It is important to back thread the webbing  through the tri-glide to prevent it from slipping. The collar strap needs to be long enough so the chest strap is behind the legs.
