I graduated from Veterinary School at Queensland University in Australia in 1990. I joined Sierra Veterinary Hospital in South Lake Tahoe in 1993, specializing in small animal surgery until being forced to retire because of a rare eye condition.
We lived on the edge of the forest in Lake Tahoe and rarely had to leash our dogs. I began experimenting with Service Dog Systems because of my eyes in 2010 . I really needed to be able to communicate better with my dog Ziggy. I wanted to be able to let him know that I wasn't doing well, but at the same time be able to stop Ziggy doing things I didn't want him to do and have fun being a dog.
My wife Jill and I moved to the Los Angeles South Bay in 2012. In the early days in Los Angeles my wife would rescue animals from the local shelters and we would try to address their issues and find them homes . Jill's crusade further exposed me to more problems with leashes and trainers for dogs. I realized that the "single pulling point" found on current systems is very confusing for all dogs. The OZZIDOG Dual Leash System gives clear unambiguous messages and is great for therapy dogs, puppies and older dogs with issues.
We certainly would not have ended up on this road if it hadn't been for my eye condition. I am grateful for how it has changed my understanding and relationship with dogs. That being said, I would like to give a special shout out to Ziggy who literally was with me every step of the way.
Cheers Graham
